Prosise won the shot and the discus and then ran a leg of the 4×400. Harris in the 110 hurdles.Hemiover in a personal best time in the 200 m 22.7. So a lot of good things. Then we had a good workout day at the meet on Tueday. Mixed things up, let some folks do some different things. Q won the high jump with a jump of 6’5 and just missed 6’8. Wow.Crossland won the 300′s in 42.something. Just a good meet. Had some good work. Nice job. What do you think Adam? Hargis was 2nd in the long jump. Hemiover ran his first real 400 M, well a split in a relay and looked good. Conklin threw the discus 130′ and Prosise pr in the discus. Young kids looked good. On we move. Hess another good day vaulting with a jump of 12’6. Looking good! Go Wildcats!

Not real happy with things overall. The change of the date messed us up probably more than most teams. We could not even put a high hurdle shuttle team on the track and could finished 1st with our best team and 4th with just 4 guys. On the bright side, the young guys continue to step up. Slover was 2nd in the high jump at 6’2. Brucket had a very strong day. Step into the 300 hurdles, threw the discus, ran a good 800 and a good 400. Cole finally stepped into the hurdles both the 300 and the 110, so that was good to see. Slover on the track in the 4×200. Got to go to a wed be back later to finish this rant.

Here we are, in the middle of the season and seems the same every year. Send little time coaching and more time planning and trying to keep things together. Its been tougher this year. I have added responsibility at work. I just can’t get things together. Seem to have more kids hurt, more kids that can’t keep the grades up. A few more that don’t care. Maybe I’m just getting to old for this. Good thing! Coach Phillips is helping with the throwers, he seems to have some new energy. Throwers are looking good right now. Well the shot putters are anyway.Well lets recap some things. Prosise is throwing very well, is hitting 50′ in practice. He is not a very big kid, but he is quick in the ring and has some good strength. At the beginning of the season I was not going to let him throw. Andy Meador was coming along but had to have knee surgery. Aaron Green is starting to throw very well, hitting personal best in practice but needs to bring it to the meet. The high jumpers were going big guns at the beginning of the season, but have tailed off some. I would put that to training or lack of training. The distance corp is getting better. Harris in the hurdles has been tough. Some other stuff, Crossland has been tough, Goff, Heser in the 1600 and 3200. Others I could mention but it late and I’m ready for bed. Good night Adam.
