Well another O’Fallon Relay is on the books. The field events went well for us, we double placed in the high jump, pole vault and shot put. We also placed in the long jump and triple jump. The only FE we did not place in was the discus and we will be much better there later in the year. The sprint relays………….well we got killed………but not surprised by. Not sure if I put all our best in the same race we could of placed. The area that bothers me is the 4×8 relays. We need to start seeing some better times in that 800. Need a new plan of attack. On the track we did place 3rd in the 4×110 hurdle shuttle, which totally surprises me, and the time of 1:10 is an ok time.We also placed third in the distance medley, that was one of the races we loaded up, so we were hoping to do well there. There was no way we could of caught the top two teams. The 4×110 had Slover, C Woodward, Crossland, and Richards. Speaking of Richards, I thought he had a very good meet, he placed in the pole vault and did well in the shuttle and was on a relay. C Woodward also had a good meet, placing in the 300 hurdles and the shuttle. Crossland won the high jump, Hahn was 2nd in the shot put, freshman Tyler Jourdan was 3rd in the pole vault and set a new freshman record in the event by clearing 13′. (plus it was his 16th birthday) Landon Tate placed in the triple and long jumps, getting into the 40′ range for the first time. Meador placed in the shot put. Slover placed in the high jump. The DM relay of Heser, Brummett, Bullard, and Bruckett had a good solid outing for that 3rd place finish. We looked more like a team! Go Meigs!
