last weekend the IHSA state meet was held at Peoria.  This was the first year for the new 3 class format, the chance for different teams to compete for a state trophy. From what I hear the meet went very well.  I was excited for the Robinson’s boys team, that was able to come home with a 3rd place finish. The sophomore Margo Richardson finished 3rd in her race to take All State honors.  Its just fun to see people  you have got to know  from your area do good things.  On the 3A side  York Elmhurst was displaced as defending state champions, makes you wonder if a school that is use to winning can be happy with a 2nd place finish. I wonder if the going to the 3 class system might of affected their finish?  Next year we are planning on some Wildcats and Lady Cats jetting across the fields in Peoria!  Dream the dreams, then do the work!
