History making- the first day of cross country practice at Kaskaskia College. We met at 9 am August 1st. Not a lot of places to run at the campus. So I had mapped out a 8 mile loop and a 6.5 mile loop behind the school. Josh and Jordan ran the complete loop and Mollie and Dannie the 6.5 loop and Carie did most of the 6.5. Not a bad first day of practice, it was hot and no shade out on the course. (which is it course or coarse? Its course!) We still need more runners, only 5 girls and 6 guys. No room for injuries. I want to make sure we can field both teams at the end of the year. This starting from the ground up is going to be challenge, where to practice? When to practice? Still need to order uniforms- I like it!!!!! Lets get something done-lets get the folks talking about this thing called cross the country running!
